How to make the glide version work
I had some problems with the Direct3D version of Rollcage 1.. Some weird lags, making the game hardly playable.
So I searched for a glide emulator, and found that : http://www.zeus-software.com/downloads/nglide
All you have to do is install it, and then you're done. It's working great on Windows 7 (haven't tested on other Windows OS), and when my Direct3D starts to be laggy, I'm running the Glide version.
The only problem is the weird textures in glide :/ But, at least, that makes a working Rollcage !

Rendering on modern OSs has been much improved in the following project:

You should't need the Glide version any more, the D3D version will be much more than fast enough on anything like modern hardware.

Well, I'd choose zeckensack's Glide wrapper any time over nGlide.
